A Rural Weekend Affair

groomsmenJenny & Scott wanted to create a unique and intimate weekend celebration for family & friends. Friday night saw the bride’s family & bridal party coming together for ceremony rehearsals at Daylseford. Invited guests with prearranged accommodation, arrived from Friday night onwards.

The ceremony was held in the botanical gardens under the grandeur of an ancient Oak tree with red carpet aisle bordered by white standard roses. Guests were seated on white satin covered chairs with lilac sashes and were lured into the moment by a string quartet. The Exchanging of vows included a symbolic Celtic ritual reflective of both families heritage.

The sit down reception was held at a local landmark reception & restaurant venue. Guests were served Canapés on arrival and a festive atmosphere was created with swags of white fabric billowing from the ceiling, centerpieces of fresh flowers in soft lilacs, pinks & whites added to the celebrational feel, with hand crafted silver paper place cards and bomboniere of hand made chocolates in lilac & silver packaging added to the theme. Bridal party & guests danced and partied the night away to an energetic live band.

A relaxed Sunday saw guests enjoying picnic hampers, canoeing, swimming & soaking up the sun at one of the local parks, before fare welling the bride & groom bound for a Queensland honeymoon.
